Yes!! Art Angels, the highly anticipated new album from Grimes, has been released digitally today via 4AD / Remote Control Records. The Art Angels physical release is Friday 11th December.
Grimes self-directed video for ‘Flesh Without Blood’/’Life in the Vivid Dream,’ released just last week already boasts over 2 million views. Watch it below if you haven’t had a chance to watch it yet.
The album was recorded primarily in Grimes home studio in Los Angeles, CA, where she relocated to in 2014. Like all of her previous albums, Art Angels was written and recorded entirely as a solo endeavour. The new album features more live instrumentation than ever before on a Grimes record. She plays piano, guitar and violin, continuing her evolution as a musician and a producer for her most ambitious album to date.
Grimes returns to Australia next year for Laneway Festival and sold out sideshows in Sydney & Melbourne.
