Watch – King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard ‘Robot Stop’

Coming off the back of their biggest national tour yet, playing sold out shows across the Country, including special festival appearances at Splendour In The Grass & Dark Mofo, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard share ‘Robot Stop’, the next instalment in their Nonagon Infinity video series.

The film clip’s director and longterm King Gizz artistic collaborator Jason Galea had this to say of the creative process that went into birthing the ‘Robot Stop’ video: “The Robot Stop video is about wear and tear. Its also about lazer beams, plagues, computers, cogs, endurance and reincarnation. I started putting the rough ideas together for the video late 2015 and eventually got to put three months aside to work on it after finishing off the first two clips. It was my first proper attempt at a 3d animated video piece since testing the waters with my alligator in a plane scene from The River video. The video was processed with the Floyd–Steinberg dithering algorithm restricted to mostly 8-bit and at some parts 16bit colour to get the effects.

Robot Stop is Part 1 of the Nonagon Infinity film which the band has been working on for well over a year now and is due for completion before the end of 2016. King Gizzard plan on sharing the film with their fans via super special midnight premiers set to occur at indie cinemas worldwide. Stay tuned for more details on that real soon!

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard leave Australia next week to play a some of their biggest shows to date in the UK and Europe with appearances at major European festivals including Green Man, Pukklepop, Reading & Leeds, as well as a stop at the End of the Road Festival in the UK.
